Primary Job Functions:
We have an immediate opening in our home office located in Hanover, Maryland. This inside position is responsible for conducting liability and coverage investigations, bodily injury and property damage evaluations, as well as successfully negotiating the settlement of first and third party injury and property damage claims.

Qualifications:
Qualified applicants should have 2 to 5 years of experience adjusting automobile accident claims. Bachelor�s Degree or equivalent industry experience. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills. A high degree of motivation and team orientation. Proficiency with property damage estimates. PC experience with knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - (Bilingual - English/Spanish)

Location: Baltimore, MD

Primary Job Functions:
We have an immediate opening in our home office located in Hanover, Maryland. This position is responsible for servicing our agent partners and our policyholders. Each representative services 60-100 incoming calls per day in addition to other daily activities. We assist with questions on policies, billing, coverages, cancellations as well as guidance to our agents on how to accurately quote a policy. We do this for all states we do business in and for all products - personal auto, motorcycle and commercial auto.

Qualifications:
Math skills required. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills. Requires ability to learn and understand insurance program differences between several states and how to process requested policy changes, while still cordially and courteously servicing 60-100 incoming calls per day. Patience and listening skills - leading to problem solving (what is really being asked of me on this call) is a must. Flexibility to work either an 8:30-5 or 9:30-6pm shift. Bachelor�s Degree or equivalent industry experience helpful but not required.

Recent Bachelor�s Degree or a minimum of 2 years equivalent industry experience with clear working knowledge of automobile insurance terms. Experience with commercial automobile servicing or underwriting a plus.

CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER (CIO)

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Member of the Executive Management Team responsible for ensuring Company strategies, business plans and goals are the focus of all systems initiatives
  • Provides overall vision, leadership and guidance to the Company's technology efforts to ensure continuous development and execution of technical strategies
  • Responsible for leading the IT Team to continue to maximize its significant capabilities and to expand them

  • Responsible for developing the IS Department budget
  • Negotiates contracts for the acquisition and maintenance of all systems hardware, software and telecommunications including lease versus buy decisions
  • Responsible for all aspects of the organization's information technology and systems including communicating with other management, monitoring progress and managing risk
  • Responsible for managing information systems security standards and policies to safeguard all data and network assets
  • Develops and maintains a detailed disaster recovery plan
  • Develops and maintains a set of policies and procedures for technology usage
  • Responsible for determining the structure of the IS department and assigning resources to these positions
  • Responsible for planning departmental staffing
  • Identifies staff with potential for advancement
  • Sets up department organization structure and develops and maintains the role descriptions
  • Manages recruitment, development and retention of IT staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies
  • Responsible for IT departmental goals, objectives and operating procedures consistent with the strategic plan including core values
  • Keeps current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies, workflows and development processes. Advises, counsels, and educates the Management group on the latest technology’s competitive and financial impact.
  • Provide information processing and systems counsel to other managers

Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years experience leading a Team of IT professionals
  • Advanced college diploma or university degree in the field of business administration and/or computer science or 10 years equivalent work experience
  • Excellent mentoring and leadership skills
  • Thorough understanding of current application development methodologies (i.e. agile and scrum process)
  • Comprehensive experience with managing and implementing advanced systems in a highly transactional web environment
  • An understanding of retail principles is an asset
  • Experience with property and casualty insurance a plus but not required
